photos used for collage are from tumblr and the lemons are from speckle of dirt.
Okay, it's been requested so here it is. A post about beauty habits. :) It's going to be a little alternative as my beauty habits are a bit, well, alternative.
I don't cleanse with any products whatsoever. I only cleanse with water - morning & evening. I don't say that this works for everyone but it works for me. Cleansing products tend to either make my skin too greasy or too dry.
When I however sense a breakout coming, which happens to everyone(!), I have a routine that is guaranteed to work. Before you go to bed, dab a little drop of lemon juice on the area of the breakout. Next morning - voila! Do keep in mind, that you are not to go out in the sun after applying lemon juice to your skin - it'll bleach!

Fabulous tip darling, I use toothpaste at the moment but will have to try this!

i really like the tip with the lemon juice.
ReplyDeletegreat idea!

You must be blessed with fantastic skin ;)
ReplyDeleteUsing just water dries out my skin terribly but a lot of cleansers make my t-zone greasy.
I'm happy with Garnier Simply Essentials Comforting cleansing milk at the moment: it cleans, freshens, moisturises and removes my make-up in one go. I have to exfoliate every now and again with StIves Apricot Scrub too.
I've never tried lemon juice but haemorrhoid ointment works pretty well for me :) (odd choice I know!)

I've heard so much good about the St Ives Apricot scrub, Ruth - I would love to try it out. If only it was available in Denmark! I'm going to Germany in the end of next week - I'll be sure to look out for it there :)
ReplyDeleteOccaisionally I make a body scrub (not the face anymore, but we've got a good thing going here) made of olive oil, sea salt and honey - it works like magic! Just an extra tip on the way :)

M
Du er så smuk endnu en gang! :-) Og tak for tippet med citronen ;-)
