A SCENT OF REGENT STREET

FRENCH CONNECTION RAIN COAT / STRADIVARIUS TOP / REPLAY JEANS / CARAVELLE WATCH / OFFICE BOOTS

Oh British summers. The smell of flowers, the outdoor picnics, birds singing... and of course the rain.. Having had my base here for two years now, I have had to come to the acknowledgement, that if I based my plans on the weather, I would never get anything done. That said, my best, most fun times here in London have been in company with, guess what? The rain! However, to anyone who will make their way past London this summer, let me calm you down and state, that I believe we must have had our quota of rain for this patch.. *knock on wood*..

Rainy or not, a place that always tickles my fancy when it comes to a day of shopping is Regent Street. Lined up with favourite retailers such as Reiss, &otherstories, COS and Zara, it also has a select range of niche stores ranging from royal perfumerie Penhaligon's London, where some scents are created in store to a festival and London favourite of mine, Hunter's flagship store, where I stock up on rain-proof gear. Now London is always gives you just enough moments without rain to get from store to store until it pours down, but a perfect place to watch it from is Hotel Café Royal, where we had macaroons and brunch.

On the particular day Meredith (new to FF, woo!) and I went, Regent Street was having one of it's many celebrations - this one for Magnum, why the street had been decorated with flowers, performing acts and of course free ice cream all day! Now, there's never a bad day for ice cream or matching macaroons, so bring on the summer weather, whatever it may be.

HOPE YOU'VE HAD A LOVELY WEEKEND
X
