WHEN IT COMES TO WRITING

SCREEN INK

In school, there was always that one person during group assignments, who needed to leave early to go to piano lessons, had a throat ache, or needed to get home to record a show on the Discovery Channel (read: SpongeBob the movie). That's my brain as soon as I have everything ready and coded for a blogpost and all I need to do before hitting the orange "Post" button is write. Somehow, the extremely chatty internal conversation that goes on in my head pretty much 24/7 unless I'm a) sleeping or b) eating chocolate, my mind goes quieter than a cricket in detention.

I cannot emphasize enough to you, how much I enjoy a well-written blogpost that'll catch me laughing and visiting a distant memory, simply because that anecdote the blogger wrote was so spot on. Everyday humour is another one that catches me, but I fear I lack a sufficient amount of post-resonance to follow all the unintended comical situations I somehow keep getting myself in. Either way, fuelled by curiosity and respect for those who can, I bear hope that this will some day feel natural to me.

  4. I find that getting started is hard for me but when I'm actually writing it can flow. I try to get organized before hand with drafting a skeleton of what I want to say. And also what helps me is if I don't write my posts directly into WordPress - it feels too "official", like I can't make any mistakes. So instead I write my posts in a Gmail email draft. I find that words come easier that way. Maybe you can try! :)

  8. Yep, I love when bloggers put an effort into a post and write a nice, deep or funny story along with the outfit photos.
If bloggers have no text or it's always super short, I just loose an interest in it after a while and move on.
Your bag and jacket are superb pieces!

  10. I, too, enjoy reading personal accounts written by a blogger. It gives me the opportunity to resonate with them a little bit more, even though she has no idea I exist. LOL

  17. I know exactly what you mean Sarah! I love reading well-written posts that are not too long, make me think about a certain topic and contain a little bit of humour too. That's what I like about your blog! You manage to balance all of these qualities in your posts.
I hope you enjoy your day! Kat xx
