LIBERATING ACTS

What we wear has a transforming impact on the way we act and feel. Anyone who said fashion is merely clothes, just didn’t get it at all. A beautiful dress will to me always support that perfect feeling of freedom to fit seamlessly in with summer months, whilst it also holds the passport to manoeuvre into several occasions depending on how it’s styled. During summer, I spend loads of time travelling around for work an shoot, as I also love to ride my bike around East London and jump between my plants and herbs on the terrace at home. Therefore, as I identify as predominantly being as practical as I am irrational when it comes to dressing, I highly value a dress that doesn’t restrict my movement, but preferably enhances it. I found this liberating and airy dream of a dress from Elizabeth and James via Farfetch, and I can only say, that this dress knows how to move. 

Now, when I say enhance my movement this would also include my anything but elegant daily clumsiness. I kid you not, I fall or walk into stuff on a daily basis, why I believe I’d make a perfect protagonist to a rom-com (added the rom, wishful thinking perhaps). I fully embrace this quality about myself however, having had to live with it my entire life one learns to cope and any garment, that’ll make me look better in the fall though? I’ll take it! Actually, I’ll take two plus one in a size up, as I’m really dedicated to strawberries and cream this summer.

Although I always used to wear silver, I've been cashing in on the gold account a lot more lately. They add an effortless and luxurious warmth to any look, and supported by natural elements like the little bamboo twig on this Isabel Marant necklace, adds character.
