I think there's something beautiful in being selective about what to use your energy and thoughts on. In a world of both tragedy and good, I'm of the belief and understanding that to generate more good, we have to apply and display it to our actions and surroundings. Tragedy may sell the news papers, but whilst tragedy has a purpose to make us understand reality, we must never become numb to it. Things like homelessness breaks my heart daily. It shouldn't exist and it's highly unnatural to our human nature that seeks community and looks after each other, but modern ways of society and hierarchy has made it a norm, the whole irony being that it's unnatural to our empathetic nature. If you're at all into TED talks (please say yes), I highly recommend this brilliant talk by Alain de Botton - it discusses our approach to success and failure and how we measure ourselves against others. One to watch!
And, let's bring it back to fashion (I know, I know, zis is a fashun blog). I've been dying to style around the incredible JH. Zane's pieces, and all expectations were met when I brought this asymmetrical tulip split dress with me to Croatia. I fell in love with it on the website, but wearing it tripled that love. Worn with some silver studded sweetness from Mr. Al. Wang himself, this was my holiday dream, now to be taken out on London's summer nights.

Thanks for the TED talk, like you, it breaks my heart to see homelessness. Japan is a state orientated country and homelessness here is incredibly low, perhaps a model other countries should consider....
