ICONIC HERITAGE

Framboise Fashion Boden ICONS

EDWARDIAN ELEGANCE

If there's one conversation topic that will always have me fascinated to the edge of my seat and make me pause my full-time cookie consuming, it's people's heritage. Our label may communicate one thing, but that doesn't necessarily tell us much about the ancestry of that person, why it to me always offers an interesting conversation. That, outer space and the comeback of Craig David, but we'll leave that for another post. Whether your heritage takes you back to the ancient Mayans or literally to your backyard, it's an interesting discovery. I collaborated with awesome Boden for their second launch of their Boden ICONS collection, taking its inspiration in Edwardian elegance and juxtaposing it with the beauty of Indian opulence.

There is no doubt, that regardless of whether you're the offspring of villains or royals, everyone comes with a clean slate, but the fantasy of previous times and styles is one of the finest luxuries we have in our modern day.

This collection had me at hello, and when I first spotted the printed maxi dress when they first revealed the collection, I was instantly sold on the idea of taking it for a far-far-get-away. Being the self-proclaimed tomboy that I am, I took it for a spin pairing it with the military jacket, which I can promise you I'll be wearing with boyfriend jeans as well.

  3. Amazing post with breathtaking photos! You did an amazing job on these. Also, I'm always so interested in my own and other people's heritage. It's crazy how far roots can go and how so many people that I know are having mixed parts of the world in their heritage "charts".
