OFF GUARD

Now, I could so easily attach a bittersweet note to this post expressing my not-so-thrilled feelings towards the British take on summerweather. I wish there was someone to blame for sending out the wrong brief to the London weather: "JOE! THAT FILE WAS MEANT FOR THE FAROE ISLANDS!! NOW ALL OF UK HAS RAIN" Well, boss & Joe, you owe us Ibiza weather next year. Anyways, let's move on from a topic I can passionately talk about for hours..

For those who've read the blog for a while, you'll know that I love setting up and planning a shoot. Being both an absolute fan of well composed editorials and madly in love with photography as a an artistic medium, it has become more rare for me to shoot on days reserved for life-admin and catching up with close friends. Fashion takes a back-seat (although equally empowered by it, comfort is key on a perfect day off) and muting the pressure of my own ambition, there is no box to tick or media to update.

Still, my dear friend Ramon (who you'll see popping up on my SnapChat every now and then), took the camera one day after one of our weekly catch ups, and snapped these photos of me. I've procrastinated sharing them as they were just so... plain. Not the photos themself - kudos to the photographer - but the fact that I hadn't given my outfit, nor the location a thought that day. Anyways let it be known - I love to be plain, and although plain may not be an art form, it is to me an utter luxury I indulge in. Chips on the side.
