Can ya' believe numero uno is almost over?! Determined to make this January remarkably better than the last one which safe to say left plenty of space for improvement, I had myself prepared way ahead this time. For the sake of context, a year ago my first tax return experience culminated in me crying in a printing shop on the day of the deadline after a month of decoding water damaged receipts. It didn't leave a peachy tint on January, just saying. Shouting at the current tax return with 007 confidence already back in October going: "I see you", I've been experiencing a yet unknown optimism to January, that I intend on bottling up for next year too.
This mindset is still taking the, how do I say this best... challenging world political situation into account, because there's no way any of that is going to go down like a spoonful of sugar (Disney's filming a remake of Mary Poppins atm, hey!). I spent my weekend shouting: "Love trumfs hate" at the London Women's March (don't be fooled by the name, so many amazing men showed up!), and I'm feeling hopeful, that the political events will bring together a wave of what so many of us actually want for the world. Bringing democracy back to the people, in a wave that voices fundamental values, love, equality, democracy and inclusivity. If this sounds airy fairy, SO BE IT. We can create a world community that is accepting and respectful of each other, whether it comes down to gender, skin colour, sexuality or religion. It is within our human nature to love and accept each other, it truly isn't that hard, and whilst this sounds like utopia, and utopia is a whopper of a burrito to finish before you get to it, that still doesn't mean we shouldn't do our bit to get there.

That's awesome that you were able to participate in the Women's March! We had one in Florida, too. It was inspiring to see all the people come together for such an important cause.
